An online course for those working with Saturn Returns energy. Whether going through one of your own Saturn Returns, or working on it in advance or in retrospect, you are welcome!

 This version is a 4-month course. The last session will come at the end of January 2020.




Saturn has been called the Taskmaster of the Skies, or our planetary Life Coach. It takes around 29.5 Earth years for Saturn to complete a full orbit around the Sun. When we reach or are approaching age 29, Saturn returns to the sign it was in when you were born, and it stays in each sign for a couple of years. This is called our "Saturn Return". The first one might happen when you're 27-29 depending on when you were born, and last until you're 29-31. The second time this happens, we are around age 58/59. A third return occurs when we reach age 88 or so.

What happens when Saturn comes back around?

People experience the effects of Saturn differently, and pick up on different things. Because we are in different places in our lives, the tasks that Saturn has set up for each of us will vary. If you're pretty much on course, you may not need a lot of additional guidance from Saturn, maybe just some support and confirmation. But if you've wandered far from your path over the past decades, you may feel some pretty extreme turbulence as good ol' Saturn brings things back on course.

What it all boils down to is this: We get a few decades to do our thing, live our lives. When Saturn comes back for inspection, we get a progress report, and if we've gotten off our marks, we get... well, readjusted. How drastic this readjustment period is depends entirely on who we are at this time, and who we're becoming.

You can feel these effects as early as multiple years in advance. Nothing in the Universe happens immediately and suddenly, as far as the movement of planets into different places/signs goes, and something as big and influential as Saturn? We can feel it coming from a distance. Especially since Saturn spends multiple years in each sign of the zodiac, you may start to feel its transition into your natal Saturn sign before it actually arrives there, and it may be there for some time before you actually turn 29, or 59, or 88.


Saturn entered the sign of Capricorn in December 2017,
and remains in Capricorn until March 2020.


I finally turned 29 this year (2019) but I've been dealing with things in my life that fit solidly into the category of Saturn Returns stuff since I was 25. When I started offering this course two years ago, at age 27 (when Saturn actually entered Capricorn, my Saturn sign), I wrote this:

"If I'm already being prepared, given homework, and being guided to turn my life upside down and inside out... what the heck is going to be in store for me when I turn 29?"

I guess we're about to find out...






What about for you?

What's feeling strained in your life these days? What is changing? What would you like to change? Maybe you're feeling called, pushed, or prodded into making a change already. Relationships or jobs changing or ending, moving house, getting rid of things we've realized no longer serve the life we're trying to live, are all themes of Saturn returns. If you're feeling like you lost track of what you're doing, who you are, and where you're going... You're definitely not alone.

I created this course so that other people could work through their Saturn lessons along with me, and a group of others. As I do my own work, I can offer guidance based on my experiences, share tools and ways of approaching Saturn energy, and facilitate discussion and magickal work for the group. Meanwhile, everyone joining in the course also has an opportunity to learn from and share with one another, as well, in a small online community that is private to the class.

On my YouTube channel, I make videos and share my thoughts, and people can comment or not, as they choose. In these courses I aim to share a further aspect of my practice, that of teacher and facilitator, where I'm not just sharing my thoughts, but creating an experience with ritual, activities, magick, and discussion for you to engage with your own thoughts and experiences at this transformative time, and have a group of people to share that work with (including me, of course). Think of it as workshops, ritual, and discussion group all in one!

Here's what you get with this course...

  • TEN* video "lessons" (four of them rituals, others with exercises, activities, tools, and discussion) centered around various aspects of Saturn energy, geared toward helping us not just work through it, but with it. Each one is an average of half an hour in length. *Previous offerings of this course had 8 main parts, this one has been expanded to 10!
  • This course spans four months. Each video lesson will come one to two weeks apart (most are two weeks apart, with a couple one week apart, for better scheduling--you will receive a schedule if you decide to join!).
    • The longer time in between allows you to take your time and use those weeks as you see fit. You can re-watch the video or redo the activities multiple times, engage with the additional posts and information that will be shared in the private group (see below), or take time to chat with other group members about the work for that lesson.
    • If your schedule is busy or variable, you can also use the time to better fit the course into your daily schedule. You have 1-2 weeks to get to each session, so you can choose the days and times throughout the week that are best for you to do your work, rather than having to be available every week on the same day/time.
  • A private discussion group only for people working on this course allows more room for discussions, questions, and sharing our experiences and other resources. More information about this will be given to those who decide to join us.
    • After this 4-month course ends, you gain access to a larger community group where everyone who has taken this course with me over the years is invited to stick around and keep sharing with one another as we continue this work.
    • Right now we are still a very small group, allowing each person's posts to be seen and not just vanish into the internet void!
  • We will talk about Saturn as a planet from an astronomy standpoint, as well as various aspects of astrology. We will go over some info from our birth charts, so we can discuss more personalized lessons that Saturn may have for us, as well as Saturn Returns energy in a more general sense. Exercises and activities are aimed at looking into what's gone on in the last three decades(-ish) of our lives, where we are now, and getting some guidance for working with Saturn in both "mundane" and more magickal ways.
  • There will also be some more obvious "Witchy Stuff" such as Tarot spreads I designed for working with Saturn energy that I've only ever shared with participants in this course, symbols and other spellcrafting elements associated with Saturn, and of course the rituals which act as our "trail markers" bringing us back to our main intention every few sessions. In this way we stay grounded in the spiritual aspects of Saturn's connection with Earth and our personal goals and intentions for this time in our lives.

This course is offered on a sliding scale. You decide where you slide! Payments are monthly, over 4 months.

This iteration of the course is taking place while Saturn is in Capricorn (December 2017-March 2020). You can watch the video linked above for more about that. In the future, it will be adapted to the sign that Saturn is in, for those with that Saturn sign who are in their Return.

That being said, you don't have to be currently in your Saturn Return to join us! This work is open to those who have already gone through their Saturn Return (once, or more times) and to those who have not yet reached their first or are coming up on another one! In other words, if your natal Saturn is not in Capricorn, that's okay (and if you don't know what that means, we'll be talking about that, as well)! There will be some Saturn-in-Capricorn specific energy and information since that is the sign Saturn is currently in, but the work is appropriate regardless of your personal Saturn sign. In the private group, there will be discussion time to tell everyone what sign your Saturn is in (and we will go over this together, too, so again, no worries if you don't already know!), so that I can provide some insight for you personally, as well, and we can discuss how Saturn being in different places in our charts affects each of us differently.
