Nine Moons Returns for 2026 🌙 & Book Groups in the Works! 📚

Hello, all!

Today I want to tell you about the Nine Moons course, and some other things coming up!

This was typed up for an email to my Newsletter recipients, so I thought I'd pop it over here, too. Minor changes have been made, both to make this fit the context of being here on the blog and not in the newsletter, and to keep some things as an added bonus for email subscribers. Most is the same.

Online Witchy Book Discussion Groups

📚 I started a new Book Groups page on my website to share information about the book groups I facilitate. They are generally Reclaiming books -- two of the introductory, but more lengthy ones -- but that doesn't mean they ALWAYS are. (I've done non-Reclaiming book groups in the past, but they haven't historically gotten a lot of active participation. I like these to be a lot more active, like Reclaiming classes are.) So I'm just calling it "Book Groups", with "Reclaiming" in the specific book info.

New Website! & other news you may have missed

It's been a long time coming.

A couple of years ago, I started working on a new website. Nothing too fancy, just using a free website builder. I worked on it for hours... and then stared at it for hours... weeks... months. Literal years went by and I didn't publish it. Until now.

It's finally here and publicly visible!

⛤ Cara Mia Witchery ⛤

I'm really glad I waited, actually, because in the past month I've had a lot more support and resources to stare at this thing for many more hours, only this time, I made a TON of awesome improvements that I'm REALLY happy with! So I'm actually incredibly excited to finally be sharing it!

I wanted a place to share all of my things -- a nicer, neater place than my blog, though no offense at all to this ol' gal, I still love her and will continue to write here. So the website is a landing page to send people from which they (you!) can find ALL of my various projects, links, and whatnots. And of course, it links to this blog.

This blog's "Links" page, now called "My Links," is now also redirected to the Links page over on the new site. But I did have some links here that I didn't add over there, so I will continue to update the new site as I go. It's definitely still a work in progress, only now it's up and can be seen while I continue to add other things over time.

New Classes!

Mainly, though, I wanted a site from which I could direct people to classes I'm offering, workshops, presentations, and more. I've been working on a new online course, similar in format to the Saturn Returns one I offered twice before but on a different topic... and I plan to officially begin promoting that course next month! So keep an eye out on the new page for that. I'll also be posting on the socials and support platforms I currently use (YouTube, IG, Patreon and Ko-Fi as of this writing).

Gamers, Lock In

While we're here, did you know I have a second channel now, where I post gaming content? Hang on, before you get too excited, it's still me. I mostly play Witch and Pagan themed things, cuz literally y'all, that's just my thing! Not everything is Witches, but a lot of it will be, or at least involve magic! But as with my channel, other interests of mine will make an appearance when relevant.

For example, I play The Sims 4 and have so far shared things related to sexuality and relationship updates in the game, as well as a Let's Play series with two spellcaster sisters playing through the Reaper's Rewards event from last Halloween. I also got the Life & Death expansion and made a video showing off all the Sims-themed Tarot card artwork they added!

So, yeah, there is a lot of Sims 4 content on the channel right now. But I also have a playlist of a full playthrough of Barrow Hill, one of my favorite Pagan themed games so far that I played as a teen! And... I have the sequel, which I've NEVER played before, to play and post this year! It takes place at the autumn equinox, so I'd like to post it around then, if possible. I have a couple other farming simulator genre games that I want to play and share soon, too. The least "witchy" of the bunch still has magic and offerings to Earth spirits, so like... come on, it's all in my wheelhouse lol.

What else?!

There are definitely other things I've been up to that you might not know about yet, partly if you're not in the discord with my monthly supporters, and partly because I forget to update other places... like this blog. I also forget that YouTube has a Post option now that works like any other socials feed, so. I have some goals to try to post things in more places, more often! And this is also on the new website, but I'll let you know here, too...

I'm considering starting an email list, if folks would LIKE to get updates from me that way. You can follow on Patreon, Ko-Fi, and YouTube and choose to get updates sent to your email, so if that's enough for folks, then great! But if you would be interested in hearing from me in your inbox, giving you wrap-ups of things I've been up to like I'm doing in this post, let me know by filling out this form. It's not a sign-up yet, JUST an interest form to see if people even would want something like that. And here is the place on my new webpage that asks about this.

⛤ Happy Birthday to me (on Saturday)! ⛤

Yeah, my birthday is coming up! If you want to send me a lil gift, Ko-Fi is a great place to do that. (You can also get readings there!)

But yeah, I think that wraps up this post! I finally finished a major task on my to-do list that has been there for years, waiting to be shared with the world. It feels good. Thanks for being here, supporting my journey, whatever pace it takes.

Sending you so much love and many blessings in this Leo season,

Keep on Witchin',

Charm School Update: Week 12 ?!

Charm School promo image showing a school desk with books and pencils. A chalkboard behind the desk has font over top reading "Charm School with Cara Mia and Stella Gramina."
Dear Readers,

As you may recall, Week 6 of this project overlapped with a regional camp that Stella and I attended, and for which I had an organizing role. It took a lot out of me, as well as energizing and sustaining me, as it always does, and while I knew camp week would be a lot -- that's why I made it a "grace week" in my estimated schedule of how to get through this project -- I very much underestimated the time it would take me after camp to get back into any semblance of "normal routine". It could be argued that I didn't have any such "normal routine" before camp, anyway. Regardless, I was... optimistic.

I actually thought that this was probably only Week 10 or so, but according to the calendar, nope lol. This is indeed week 12, when we originally anticipated wrapping this all up. Well I can tell you, we are not doing that just yet.

Many Blessings

Hi there, Readers,

I don't have time for a full update or topic post right now--as you can imagine, I always have a lot of things to talk about and never know where to start or when to get to what!--but I wanted to take a moment just to share some disparate thoughts and give a brief account of some things that have been going on. Then you know what you can expect in the near (or distant) future.

Reading:
The end of the year approaches, and while I have already smashed my reading goal for the year into pieces (I had much more free time to read this year than previously, I guess!), I'm STILL reading pretty much constantly! Besides the Cassie Rivers series by Cristin Keck, I've been still slowly reading Women Who Run with the Wolves all year long, and I've just gotten some new books from my friend Sheldon when I visited him in Arkansas (more on that in a bit). You can expect another "Books I've Read This Year" post at the end of the year, to accompany the one I already did on everything I read from January-July.

Travel:
As I mentioned, I recently traveled to Conway, Arkansas as a guest of Sheldon Slinkard, President of Pentacles of Pride, International. I was a featured guest for Conway Pagan Pride, the first EVER Pagan Pride event in Arkansas to be affiliated with the international Pagan Pride Project. S. J. Tucker, independent pagan singer/songwriter/storyteller was the other featured guest, and though we only had a few hours with her before her next adventure, we made the most of it.

cutewitch772 and S. J. Tucker at Conway Pagan Pride
I learned so much in that one week in Arkansas, not just in the formal settings of attending a class on mythology, or my semi-formal talk with the UCA pagan student group, but also in the casual interactions with people everywhere we went--we even ran into the mayor at a local coffee shop and chatted with him about religious tolerance. Mayor Townsell came to the event and supported us, even doing an interview with Sheldon for his vlog of the event. My vlog(s) from the event are not posted yet, but you'll know when they are, especially if you're subscribed to my YouTube channel (cutewitch772). The talk I gave at the event was on religious tolerance, prejudice reduction, and so on, and will be posted in full in its own video, as well. (Again, make sure you're subscribed or following and you'll find out right away!)

I had a great time, and I just want to thank everyone that was involved, in every aspect, from Pentacles of Pride to the Conway Pagan Pride committee, The Locals, Cinemark (Fagan, thank you), and even Pizza Hut who offered to put one of our event flyers on every pizza box that went out the day before, to spread last minute awareness of the event. Thank yous also to the Little Rock meet-up group, UUCLR, Shannon, Robin, Ryan, Trent (my SM!), Allison, Tim, now I'm just naming people who aren't inherently included in the aforementioned groups or who spent significant extra time with me at least one day, haha. That's part of the whole thing--there are so many people involved, and the community is larger than I think any of us realize. It's such a great thing they're doing there in Little Rock and Conway, and I'm so glad to have been able to be a part of it.

There will, of course, be more videos and blogs about it later. =)

Samhain:
This Samhain I stayed in and finally did something I've been wanting to do for years--a dumb supper. It was a simple, late dinner (at the witching hour), just me and a place for my ancestors. More on that later, as well!

I think that's enough of an update for now, and time for bed for me anyway.
Thanks for reading. =)

Blessings~

Working Witch

Hey, Readers,

As always, there are several topics I want to address here, but I've been so busy lately that I haven't had much time at all to sit down and write, make videos, or do much of anything that I usually do! So this is just a quick update to let you all know what's been going on that's keeping me from my online life.

Firstly, everyone probably knows by now (especially if you watch my YouTube channel) that I've been assistant-directing/stage managing a teen musical. Tech week for that show begins this Sunday, after which I will be there EVERY DAY for rehearsals and the shows next weekend.

Secondly, last week I acquired a job working at the Medieval Faire, selling runes! My employer is a musician, well-known to the faires around here, and he's recently re-opened his Runeworks business. My mother is friends with him on Facebook so she heard he wanted to hire a salesperson and got us in contact. He hired me last week and this past Saturday and Sunday were my first weekend ever as a vendor at the faire, rather than a patron. It was different in a lot of ways, but very fun, and I look forward to the next five weekends. Although it does mean that I can't attend Circle meetings or field trips we had planned, the faire is a great reason to miss a few things.

Between those two jobs and the fact that my boyfriend is home for summer break, I have been very busy. But add onto that one final thing, and you've got a crazy busy theatre-filled summer for me. Yesterday I learned that the group from my college (whence I recently graduated, in 2012) wants me back to work the summer theatre camp. I can't do all of it because of the show I'm already working on, but they want me to work the mornings. So my upcoming week looks like this:

  • Early morning drive to campus (the first day)
  • Be on campus working on theatre camp until early afternoon
  • Drive to musical
  • Rehearse/perform musical
  • Drive back to campus
  • Sleep on campus
  • Wake up early morning and start camp again
  • Repeat list from second entry

Busy, busy! And in these busy times, it's more than important to find some quiet time. I've enjoyed coming home to my boyfriend each evening after a long day of theatre, to have some dinner and maybe watch a movie, and then go to bed. There is no real back yard here, but there is some grass I can walk around in while on the phone. And I don't have all my personal items here yet, so I don't have an altar space or anything like that, but I still sing and chant in my car while driving to and from work, keep herbs hanging from my car visors, brake for animals sent by the Goddess, and of course, I constantly represent my faith in real life and online. I've been keeping up with messages on YouTube, and with emails, as well as having conversations with people in person about what I believe. A friend of mine recently learned through several conversations that I'm Pagan, and asked me to explain a bit about my beliefs. Many of my cast members have commented on my pentacle necklaces. The Medieval Faire is a great place to meet other pagans and generally like-minded folks, and the people I'm working with on the musical also have similar views (see previous post).

So no, I haven't been doing any ritual or spellcraft recently, owing largely to my hectic schedule, but that never means that I am not being an active member of my faith. I know that a lot of people often struggle with these times, thinking that they're slacking or not doing enough, so I hope this will be a reassuring thing for them. I am not only a witch when in circle, and odds are, neither are you.

Blessings~

Updates and Upcomings

Hey, Readers,

This post is going to be full of links!

I want to take this opportunity to tell you what's been going on and what's coming up, as I recently posted an "Update" video on my YouTube channel, so this is another place to update. I'll talk a bit about what's been going on online, what's upcoming, and then also what's been going on/upcoming in my personal life.

Online:
What's passed:

What's to come:
  • I'm currently uploading the next video that I said in my update video was coming up--an update of my 2009 "Five Must Haves" video. This video talks a bit about physical items I feel I "must have" for my practice (meaning the things I LIKE to have), but also gets into non-physical traits and qualities that I feel allow me to practice the way I do, such as honesty, humility, and so on.
  • After that video, the next two uploads will be about coming out of the broom closet. The first video is about how I told my family (mother, Rev. Rose) about my path and how I worked it out with her, which I've talked about before, but I mostly talked about it on Pagan Perspective. The last time I made a video about it on cutewitch772 was in 2009, guest starring my mother, so this one is an update just from me alone. The second video is "For Parents" (or guardians or other loved ones), addressing the people on the OTHER side of this issue.
  • To go along with my "For Parents" video, I am asking my mother, Rev. Rose, to make a video about the subject from her point of view, as a Universalist type Christian, as a ULC minister, as a non-pagan mother of a pagan child. She will watch my video before doing hers, because she likes to respond to what I've already said as a sort of structure or outline for her response, so her video will be up significantly after mine, but we'll have it to look forward to.
  • Yesterday and today I recorded a new t-shirt recon video (which is more relevant to my other blog).
  • And today I recorded a book review of a Catholic book, which will be posted... erm, probably in a couple weeks, judging by the list of videos I have to post first!
That's quite a lot of links, isn't it? Explore!

Personal Life:
What's passed:
  • 3 June began the summer theatre workshop for which I am the Assistant Director/Stage Manager, or in Theatre-speak, the AD/SM (which is just said as letters, A-D-S-M). I'm working on a teen version of Shrek, the Musical. It's much more politically incorrect than you'd expect if you've seen the movies. I quite enjoy it!
  • I applied for another part-time job at a retail/garden shop/farmers market type place. Not sure I'll hear back from them because Sundays are really my only busy day and they appear to only need workers all day on Sundays.
  • I've done a lot of cleaning and organizing and moving my belongings, sorting them into what I want to keep and what I can either try to sell or donate or give to people I know. This is in anticipation of moving to another kind person's house where I can stay until I move still elsewhere.
  • I started reading The Lovely Bones. I haven't seen the movie, but I own the book.
  • My boyfriend was in town briefly, between the end of his grad school year and his summer visit to his family across the country. So I'm glad we got to have a brief day and a half together. He'll be back next month.
  • I am now the co-chair of the environmental committee at my UU church.
What's to come:
  • Several more weeks of the theatre workshop.
  • More job applications. (Seriously what happened to jobs that end at 5pm so I can still do theatre in the evenings? Or jobs that let you have Sundays free for religious activities or personal time? Or jobs in theatre or religion that pay well?! =P)
  • More reading. More studying. More watching. More more more.
  • This month I will be able to attend my Magick Class meeting because the director of the workshop gave me the night off. But she's taking the cast to see Shrek, the Musical at another theatre that evening, so I will miss that instead.
  • Next week I have a Circle meeting and I believe we'll be focusing on mythology.
  • Next month is the anniversary of my circle (when they started it, of course I wasn't there then), so we'll be having a party, and also taking a trip to Lily Dale, NY in August.
  • My birthday is in August. I'll be 23.
That's about as far ahead as I have any plans, so that's all! I really just wanted to take this time while my video is uploading to update this blog in some way, and this seemed the most appropriate, before I dive into anything new. That's why I made the update video for my YouTube channel, as well.

Every so often, it's good to step out of the routine and just take stock of everything. It's the same reason why I sometimes prefer to get stopped at red lights. It gives me a chance to look around, breathe, and ready myself for the next move.

Blessings~

Absolutely crazy!

I started this blog for those times when I have extra information to add to YouTube videos, and need a place to put it. And I do use this blog for that quite a bit, as you've probably noticed (especially recently).

But since I had the blog, it helped me to start adding additional blogs for other moments along my path. The Witchy Stuff, at least. Now I've gotten to share little thoughts about my path, videos, silly moments, and more. And while I started blogging with no one else reading (maybe one or two), I somehow now have 70 people following this blog! I usually don't remember numbers like that (I thought my YouTube channel had 6,000 subscribers for months now, but I recently learned I have over 7k currently. I just never check!), so I tend to think "Hmm, no one has left any comments, maybe no one read it." But I realize that is not the case at all. Sometimes there just isn't anything to say! I understand that. I just forget.

So thank you all for deciding to follow my blog. I'd keep writing even if no one was reading, but it is awfully nice to know that you're reading, hopefully enjoying, possibly getting something from it. Who knows! I have big goals for the future, and you all are even more important than just my efforts.

Speaking of goals, I do mean to make videos for a lot of the topics I keep thinking about. I also want to blog about a lot more topics, but I don't like to crowd it with multiple per day, or even one every single day. It's the same with my channel: I have no ideas for a long time, and then a ton of ideas all at once! I try to space it out for the times when I have no ideas again. =)

There are several subjects I want to blog/vlog about soon:
  • Sex Magick (I already shared some thoughts with someone else, but want to lay it out more clearly)
  • Gender
  • Prejudice reduction
  • Measuring progress
  • Seeking faith
And so on. It seems like every day I wake up with a new all-important subject on my mind, and there are just so many, and more research and brainstorming and thought-clarifying that I want to do, that they all pile up and I haven't mentioned any of them to the greater world yet. But I will, eventually. In videos, or here, or both. Whatever seems the best medium for the subject at the time.

Thank you for being here and reading whatever it is I come up with.

Blessings~
